Kara's Pov:
"Hey..." I looked up, startled. Tom was leaning against the door frame.
"H-hi!"
"How are you feeling?"
"Uh, tired, but God. I was thinking, though, that I could go visit some of my old friends."
"I think that would be good for you. Do you need me to drive you there, or can you go alone?"
"I can go alone!"
"Alright." Tom walked fully into the room and I felt a sense of suffocation.
"Um...I'm just gonna go now. I'll see you later! Bye." I rushed past him and down the stairs. In the car, I realied how stupid it was. I was running from coming into contact with him, when I knew, that he would never hurt me. And if he did, it would only be my feelings and he would apologize for it. There was a knock on my window. I jumped back and glared at Autumn. I rolled down the window and opened my mouth to speak, but she cut me off.
"Kara, Aidan said he wants your ass over his place. He hasn't seen you in forever."
"I was just about to go there."
"Alrighty. Bye."
"Bye!"
"Love you." I froze. I couldn't remember the last time before the rape that Autumn had said 'I love you' first. Without returning the words, I started the car and drove off. Yet, instead of going to Aidan's, I found myself driving to the cluster of trees. The cluster of trees that was my safe haven. I parked the car and ran to the largest tree there, stting down and letting the tears fall. Honestly, I had no clue why I was crying. Maybe it was just all the tears gathered up from everything that had happened to me. I stopped crying when my eyes stung harshly and my breath was just a short gasp. My back ached from sitting against the tree, while my legs had gone numb. I got up on my knees and fell forward, barely catching myself from doing a full face-plant into the ground.
"Agh! Damn!" I twisted around and grabbed my leg, trying to massage the feeling back into it.
"Kara?" I yelped and fell backward, my head smacking against the ground. Black dots flew in front of my eyes nad I groaned.
"Oh shit! Kara!" I felt hands on my face and the dots cleared. I found myself staring into the large blue eyes of Aidan.
"I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
"Yeah." Aidan grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet. I leaned against him until the feeling was back in my legs.
"Good. Now, let's go!"
"Where?!"
"My house, silly. We're gonna pig out on pizza and junk food while watching sappy romance movies." I gave him a questioning look. He opened his mouth and then closed it, waiting for me to ask the question.
"Are you gay?" Aidan's eyes widened and he seemed utterly shocked.
"That was not what I was expecting!"
"Well, are you?"
"Uh...do I have to answer the question? Can't I just plead the fifth or something?"
"No. Now answer it." Aidan grumbled, but I knew he would answer me.
"Yes."
"Awww...do you have a boyfriend?"
"Yes. And don't say 'awwww, do you cuddle?'!"
"Fine. Let us go watch sappy romance movies."
"Yay!" He smiled and we started towards my car.
"Hey, didn't you drive here?"
"No. I walked."
"Oh." On the way to Aidan's house, it was completely quiet. As soon as we were inside, though, we were both a bustle of moevement. I was in the kitchen, grabbing the food and drinks, while Aidan was flipping through all forty-five romance movies he owned.
"Maid In Manhattan?"
"Nah."
"A Walk To Remember?"
"Are you trying to kill me with that shit?"
"Sorry! ElizabethTown?"
"YES!"
"Alright." I ran into the living room, food and drinks in hand, and plopped onto the couch.
"I hope you don't mind me going ga-ga over Orlando Bloom."
'I do it too. He is sooo sexy."
"Wow. My former straight friend is now in total love with Orlando Bloom. And since your gay, does this mean I can talk about guys with you?"
"Sure."
"YAY!" The movie started and so did the comments about Orlando Bloom. Right as the credits were rolling, my eyes drifted shut and I felt Aidan pulling away to lay me down. I muttered a 'thank you' and fell asleep.
